The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) provides policing services for the Regional Municipality of Waterloo which encompasses the cities of  Waterloo,  Kitchener, Cambridge, as well as the townships of North Dumfries,  Wellesley,  Wilmot  and  Woolwich.  WRPS  currently employs approximately 739 police officers and approximately 271 civilians across six locations. It provides policing servies for a region of 1,382 square kilometers with a population of 510,000.

HGC has worked with WRPS  conducting acoustical measurements and assessments at both their headquarters and regional divisions in order to provide recommendations for upgrades to the speech privacy and functionality of detention areas and secure interview rooms.

Acoustical Consulting Services Included:

  • Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Impact Insulation Class (IIC) testing
  • Building Services Noise and Vibration control (HVAC Systems, Pumps, Compactors, Generators, etc)
  • Speech Privacy and Confidentiality of Interview Rooms
  • Acoustical Forensics Investigations
