Free Webinar Series on Noise During Land-use Planning Runs Until July 20

Everything you wanted to know about Noise during Land-use Planning but were afraid to ask.

HGC Engineering is offering this free 4-part webinar series on Noise Fundamentals and Design Strategies during Land-use Planning starting June 8th and running every two weeks until July 20th. This online educational program was developed to meet the practical approval and mitigation needs of Ontario developers, urban planners, and municipalities looking to achieve neighborly peace and harmony between noise-sensitive residential developments and nearby traffic areas and/or commercial/industrial lands.

At 30 minutes each (plus Q&A), these webinar sessions are designed to be short, but informative. Take a break with us while you work from home or office, and you’re guaranteed to pick up some sound knowledge you can put to good use.

 

 

Webinar #1: Why are Noise & Vibration Studies Needed?

• Overview of the types of noise and vibration considered during land-use planning

• Survey of the range of noise and vibrations impact studies often required

• What kind of Land-use changes can trigger a noise/vibration approval?

• Review of the limits governing noise guidelines provincially, federally, and municipally in Ontario
