Victor Garcia BASc, PEng Associate, acoustical consultant
Victor has over a decade of experience in assessing the impact of traffic noise (including traffic noise from road, rail, air, etc.), and stationary noise associated with commercial sources. As part of these studies, he develops noise control recommendations to satisfy the requirements outlined by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, railway authorities (including CN, CP, and Metrolinx) as well as any municipal specific requirements. These mitigation measures may include: the use of acoustic barriers; ventilation requirements; upgraded building constructions; and upgraded window glazing requirements. He also has experience in assessing the impact of vibration on proposed residential subdivision from neighbouring railway lines.
Over this time, he has prepared studies for high rise buildings and large-scale residential subdivisions including many throughout Milton, Ontario for Mattamy Homes. Projects that Victor has been involved with include Bishop Strachan School and lands within Brampton Block 5.
