Location: Locations across Ontario
Owner/Operator:  Schneider Foods

Schneider Foods is a major meat processing company with a Canadian heritage going back to 1890. It is now owned and operated by Maple Leaf Foods.

HGC assessed, audited and designed noise control measures for Schneider Food facilities in Port Perry, Kitchener, and the Greater Toronto Area. A creative solutions approach was developed to mitigate noise levels: special custom retro-fit measures were developed for outdoor condenser units to reduce sound from the propeller fans and refrigerant compressors significantly, by 10 to 15 dBA.

Acoustical consulting services delivered:

  • Conducted detailed acoustical assessments and audits in accordance with Ontario Ministry of the Environment procedures
  • Specified noise controls and developed stage noise control plans to be implemented over a number of years
