The Muskoka Sands Resort, built in 1926, is nestled on the shoreline of Lake Muskoka in the heart of Ontario’s cottage country, 90 minutes north of Toronto. It features a world-class resort, golf-course, spa, conference center, and hall for weddings and receptions.
HGC was engaged to support efforts by the resort to pre-qualify for a highly prized 4 diamond rating from the Canadian and American Automobile Associations (CAA/AAA).
Acoustical measurements and analysis were undertaken in order to develop design recommendations for upgrading inter-suite sound insulation, increasing impact isolation for floor/ceiling constructions and improving interior acoustics in the pool and dining areas.
