HGC was the acoustical, noise and vibration consultant for this state-of-the-art research and incubator space for the life sciences. This 160,000 square feet, $70-million project is the result of a collaborative effort between Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University, Capital Health and the IWK Health Centre. The LSRI consists of two 4 storey towers joined by a central atrium. One tower is dedicated to research and is home to the well respected Brain Repair Centre (BRC). The second tower, serves as a business incubator devoted to the discovery and development of investment for commercially viable ideas. The centre links together more than 100 world-class researchers and physicians and also houses other organizations such as Dalhousie University’s Industry Liaison and Innovation Office, BioNova, Nova Scotia Innovation Trust, and Genome Atlantic.
