This mixed-use commercial complex is located next to the King Faisal Highway. The two tallest twin-towers (Commercial East and Commercial West) are currently listed as the tallest completed towers in Bahrain, with a height of 260 m (853 ft) with 54 floors. The majority of the project was constructed on reclaimed land.
This double-tower office complex and podium on the harbour included numerous chillers and a stand-by generator plant in the parking levels, and various compartment unit and exhaust fan rooms throughout. Lightweight pre-fabricated duct sections and large chilled water risers routed in shafts adjacent to occupied areas made for acoustical challenges. Fan-coil units for financial trading floors were reviewed in detail to optimize unit selections and to keep noise levels within stringent limits.
