This mixed-use commercial complex is located next to the King Faisal Highway. The two tallest twin-towers (Commercial East and Commercial West) are currently listed as the tallest completed towers in Bahrain, with a height of 260 m (853 ft) with 54 floors. The majority of the project was constructed on reclaimed land.
This double-tower office complex and podium on the harbour included numerous chillers and a stand-by generator plant in the parking levels, and various compartment unit and exhaust fan rooms throughout. Lightweight pre-fabricated duct sections and large chilled water risers routed in shafts adjacent to occupied areas made for acoustical challenges. Fan-coil units for financial trading floors were reviewed in detail to optimize unit selections and to keep noise levels within stringent limits. HGC provided comprehensive design reviews for building services noise and delivered recommendations to limit noise of the offices and trading floor of this Middle Eastern financial center.
